Newport Coast Modern California French Remodel
After a slab leak destroyed the flooring and kitchen cabinetry in this Newport Coast home, we were brought in to reimagine and modernize the entire space. What began as a kitchen renovation quickly expanded into a full home renovation, including all bathrooms and key living spaces.
The new design blends clean, coastal-inspired finishes with the home’s original French character. A bright white and white oak kitchen sets the tone, while the family room features a new linear fireplace and custom shelving for a warm, inviting feel. The primary bathroom was elevated with marble surfaces and a serene, spa-like palette.
Throughout the home, we thoughtfully mixed the client’s existing French pieces—like the master bedroom nightstands and dining table—with new furnishings, lighting, and finishes. In the powder room, the original puffed Roman shade and French mirror were paired with new Kelly Wearstler wallpaper and a custom vanity for a fresh yet timeless look.
The result is a serene and cohesive retreat that feels modern, layered, and deeply connected to the French-inspired bones of the home.
